Social Mind Network

Facebook,Twitter,Mxit,BBM.......all the international social networking heavyweights. They may have one thing in common in case of having millions of users with active users 24 hours a day 7 days a week, but there is one common thing with users when they chat.....they never open their mouths when they do

Sure,if you're reading this you may think:"Duh,that's obvious dawg," or whatever, but one of the things I like about myself is I'm very observant & I like writing down my observations on paper after a thorough analysis of whatever I have been observing

One of the things I love about online chats on social networks is that it is all a mind conversation. All conversations that take place are all in the mind. The conversations are all not physical, but mental

How often do you often laugh out loud each time you write the word:"Lol."Not even often, right?I thought so.The only time you actually laugh out loud is when you write the acronym:"LMAO" which stands for laughing my a** off, which you are not really doing.During that time that is when you are actually laughing out loud.Even a simple hahaha suggets that you're having a light laugh, but all in your head

How often do you really blush everytime you write the word:"ncooh" when chatting?Yes,you may do it often but for most of it you may just think whatever being said is a ncooh idea or it's very sweet, but sometimes it doesn't really make you literally blush

Yes,each time you go "WTF???!!!" you do have those moments when you show a weird or disgusted face, but how often? All it is your minf telling you that whatever the person you're chatting with told you is absolutely absurd, but you don't often find yourself shouting out:"WHAT THE F*#K???!!!"

How many times do you actually shout out each word you're typing when chatting? You never do that, right?Thought so,otherwise the people around you will think you're just plain crazy

Very often when you're talking to someone, generally a friend, family or someone you know or don't know, during the conversation you cannot pause & think about how you're going to react to the statement or question made by the person you're speaking with.If you do so,they may think you're stupid or not interested in the conversation. However, when chatting on social networks, you are given time to think about a response which proves that you're having the conversation by using your mind & not your mouth which also makes the conversation less spontaneous

For the majority of the time chatting wth someone, you do it with a straight face without any facial expressions or hand gestures. So,with all these examples & statements,it is safe to say that social networks should rather be referred to as social mind networks

Money:The root of all life

They say money makes the world go round, which I believe is true.Yet so many people will always have negative comments about it & those who carry plenty of it in their bank account

One of the most common things being said about money is that it is the root of all evil & the rich should give more to the poor.More often than not it is those people who live an average lifestyle & live on a basic budget as opposed to those who live the lavish lifestyle

Truth is,in this world that we currently live in money is needed in order to live.Without it,we are stranded. Most of the time when people make negative comments about money is mainly due to their personal jealousy whenever they see someone with strong financial stability & can purchase any of the goods they want.If money really wasn't anything & is the root of evil, why conntinue working for it every single day of your life.Every day of your working life, you work for the same goal as your colleague-make money. So why continue working for that cause if the digits & papers you get every month are the root to evil deeds?

Just because there are people who choose to use money with evil intentions, doesn't mean every rich person in this world will do the same. For those that keep saying money is the root of all evil,I have one thing to say to you:IT IS ALL IN THE STATE OF MIND.The mind tells someone to do the evil action with the money. But that doesn't mean every rich person in this world also have the evil state of mind.

You also get those people that say rich people should try give back to the poor people as opposed to continuing with trying to make more money for hemselves. We really need to be realistic about that, because even if every rich person gives R1000 or however amount of money to whichever Tom,Dick & Harry living in poverty,it won't any mch a difference in their lives because that will not take them out of the poverty.

We all make choices in life, and those choices at times determine a person's financial position. And one cannot say that people grew up poor therefore they're stuck there for the rest of their lives because there are people who grew up in poverty but they made choices. One of those choices was to do everything in their power to move away from the poverty sphere which leads to them being rich today.

So,to those of you that continue to draw up useless excuses to pin down money & those who have truckloads of it in the safe, get a reality check & get over your jealousy.Every human being in this world needs money to live & those who have loads of it are smart enough to ensure they maintain a stable life & at the same time enjoy life.So yes, money does indeed make the world go round

The Soweto Derby:Is it really dead?

The clash of the big titans. The biggest fixture in South Africa's football calendar. The one fixture that divides the entire nation into two, with one half backing the boys in black & white, and the other half backing the boys in black & gold.

The Soweto Derby between Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates & Kaizer Chiefs is seen as one of the biggest derbies in Africa. However, questions have been raised as to whether this game has lost its spark or not.

The clash between the Mighty Buccaneers & the Phefeni Glamour Boys always brings hype in the media.Days leading to this historic encounter always create a buzz. Now with the KZN derby between Lamontville Golden Arrows & Amazulu, together with the Tshwane derby between SuperSport United, people now suspect that the Soweto Derby buzz is now dead.

When we look at the Tshwane derby, people would say that it's slowly starting to take over due to their big spending power during the transfer window as well  their big name signings in the off season.Someone will look at signings made by the Soweto giants & say that these names,as well the names that appear on the starting line-up,these names don't excite fans & will be the cause of a derby snore.

However, one cam argue that currently the signings made by Chiefs & Pirates do bring excitement to the fans. For the Buccaneers, names like Siyabonga Sangweni,Sameegh Doutie,Rudolf Bester & so forth, whom are new recruits, all bring the fans to the stadium. For Chiefs, new names such as Bernard Parker,Lehlohonolo Majoro & Keegan Ritchie also bring te fans to the stadiums. So currently both teams re making reasonable signings

Another thing someone must consider is the fact that both teams are the teams that have the highest support base in this country. So no matter what the result is at the end of 90 minutes,it will always have people talking about the game. Therefore,it is safe to say the the buzz of the Soweto Derby is far from dead

Another Derby,another moneymaker for sponsors

Yet again, another epic Soweto Derby awaits us all Mzansi soccer lovers.

However,as we approach this encounter of the MTN8 Final between the two mega-rivals,it also raises the question as to who stands to gain more from this classical encounter?

Sure, millions of fans across the nation wait in anticipation for this classic encounter, but the biggest gainers of this match are indeed the sponsors of this competition.

MTN were always known for their great partnership with the soccer fraternity, and games like these are set to fill up the stadium with thousands of fans. With the business side of soccer growing each day,big companies jump at the opportunity to invest in football as it generates millions of rands. So for companies like MTN,the major sponsor of this competiton,it is more spectators & ad revenue which equals more money going into their pockets

As this is the biggest fixture in the South African football calendar,it is bound to fill up the stadiums with a full-house crowd per Derby. So,at the end of the day,as we enjoy the full 90 minutes of the beautiful game, sponsors continue to cash in the big bucks on the Soweto Derby
